it as cuing up the powerpoint. let me take this moment to just explain how we are going to present this information. we will give you a little bit of history on the pier 70 as well as going through the plan itself. focus in on the key developments that we are working on and introduce the team that is going to be working on pier 70 or is working on pier 7 and talk a little bit about next steps. so just to remind you where pier 70 is located just south of mission bay you can see from this graphic. just along the water just south of mission bay and just before the trail, now closed power plant. just a little bit of history on pier 70. we began the... when it is plan was aproveds if 1997 and the plan included pier 70 and within the pier 70 plan, the 69 acre theres was a 12-acre opportunity site that was included in that original plan. this shows earlier was a 1990s view and you can see in the mission bay area how little development there was. and then the next slide you can see with pier 70 and the foreground how much new development there was. but when you go back to the slide from th
a powerpoint on the student drop out rates for the class of 2014-2015. and it was some what astounding and disappointing and i think that it sort of made everybody's jaw drop. but, we have made... with the students who will try to graduate with the class of 2014. and so, we also heard about some african american student achievement strategies that we could be implementing but i think that the gist of this that this section of the report was analyzing the data and looking at the data and what are the causes for the data? what are we doing? what are we doing to intervene? and we heard about some of the student strategies that we have done and the summer school and some of the summer school studis that have been successful. but i think what we were really talking about is about african americans in san francisco in general. and we talked a lot about migration, about african american families here and we talked about the lack of achievement for african american students. and how difficult it is also for african american families to be able to move here and have the xhirn go to our schools
. we have put a powerpoint presentation together. this will give us the opportunity to go through a couple bills. how we were watching this and looking ahead as to next year, what will be coming down the turnpike. wanted to highlight a couple bills we were watching. ab819, which would require caltrans to establish procedures for non-standardized designs for bicycle projects. this was approved by the governor. another bill of interest would be ab1532, the speaker's bill, which would set procedures for use and distribution and cap and trade funds. i will go into this further. i think this would be of great interest to the board of supervisors with respect to the designation of the funds and the revenues that will be generated from the cap and trade program. next is ab2144, which is another bill sponsored by the speaker assembly member perez. this bill would expand the isd law and reduce the voter threshold for creation of an ifd and issuance of bonds for the ifd. unfortunately this was vetoed by the go for. there is discussion about it coming back next year. another bill of interest

a joint effort, 100 percent, really. so you are going to be in great hands with her. we did a powerpoint presentation to our health commission a couple days ago, so i brought that with me. i don't know what the protocol is for projecting it, but here's hard copies for you guys if anybody wants them. >> (inaudible). >> yeah, i planned to do that, this is just something for your record. so much of what raj was just talking about was very much true for san francisco, that many years ago when the supportive housing movement had just started and the idea that you would do housing with support services to help people stabilize in housing, people who have been homeless, people with disabilities, san francisco jumped on that. and we had been doing it for maybe half a dozen years or so, but i think we were, like many other places in the country, still in that old mold and still kind of fresh off the sheltering experience and so forth. and while we were saying we were doing homeless housing, we were, you know, weeding out and screening out the very folks that needed to get into housing. and so t
powerpoint better people that work. and i'm going to continue to talk about a plan because that is what is on the minds of the people of connecticut. it is the primary issue in this race all across the country. so i talk about my plan. the fact that i want to lower taxes on the middle class and congressman murphy has voted to raise them. so we'll have contrasts with the a to go up on television and i'm going to continue to communicate my petition with the people of connecticut. >> so you say you're not embarrassed of any of those that would've aired? mcmahon: now, we are communicating our messages. >> moderator: i was going to remind the question is are you embarrassed by your own ads? said throughout that is going to get off easy there. listen, i'm part of the ads we run and i think the fact that linda mcmahon's campaign is reduced to arguing over b. roll footage in our campaign ads shows you how little she really wants to talk about the issues. you know, linda mcmahon's ads have been vicious and personal, directed at me and my wife and family. and i think this way should be about the
